Work today isn’t as straightforward as it used to be. Whether you work at the office or from home, rarely is there a day where you sit at the computer and focus only on one single task. Depending on your personality, this can be a good or bad thing. The good part is that it’s harder to get bored during work, while the bad part is that multitasking can be chaotic and confusing.
While anything can be mastered with practice, there are also programs that were especially designed to help you manage all those tasks with greater ease. They are usually categorized as time tracking tools and WorkingHours is one them.
Manage your tasks with efficiency
WorkingHours comes off as intuitive, even though it’s a versatile application that will probably require a bit of time to get used to. The graphical interface is nothing fancy, but enables you to quickly navigate it and find the features that you need. In order to establish the tasks that you’re going to track, you must first create work units, which are technically the time frames for your work.
For example, a work unit could be a 9 to 5 day containing multiple tasks or just one or two hours containing one single task. Once you get used to the concept of work units, it will be easy to organize your schedule using this program.
Other useful features
It’s important to remember to pause and resume your tasks whenever you take a break. If you’re paid by the hour, it will also be easy to track how much money you’re making. The application offers you basic analytic tools, and also allows you to export your working units as Excel or CSV documents.
No matter if you’re a freelancer or an office worker, you’re probably going to find WorkingHours really useful if you want to properly monitor the time you spend on your daily tasks.

Hey there, my name is Kenna, and today I’ll be sharing a new time tracking application with you.
9 to 5 is a time tracker app that allows you to precisely record your hours spent on specific projects and tasks. This time tracking app enables you to create and manage multiple work units, and this is something that I’m really going to enjoy. This app allows you to quickly get to the fields you need to fill in whenever you come back from a break, and that means you’re going to have less downtime.
How exactly does 9 to 5 work?
9 to 5 comes with a simple interface that allows you to quickly view the time that you spend on your daily tasks. The app shows you what projects you have running at any one time and you can also track the number of hours that you spend on each one.
Personalize your time tracking
You can manually add one project, or you can also scan a bar code to quickly open it. When you’re using this application, you can categorize your working units into different projects. You can easily create and switch between those projects as long as you understand that this application is a lot different from other time tracking apps that we’ve covered in the past.
The interface on 9 to 5 is minimalistic, but it still allows you to accurately record your time spent on each task. You can instantly export your working hours to Excel, Outlook or CSV, and you can easily assign roles to your projects.

I think you are right about the concept and outcome.
There are some downsides:
1. not so obvious at first
2. Its admin-side is not quite easy and user friendly, but maybe a great idea if you want to control the most basic settings.

I’m rather skeptical about the concept and outcome. But it seems to do well what it’s trying to achieve.
I like the flow of the program. It’s seems to be a solid application and the market is huge.
I think all it needs is to improve and perfect it to gain much more market share.

Being aware of how much time you spend working and the type of tasks you’re working on will help you to determine what’s effective and when to cut back on some tasks. If your job involves sitting in front of a computer all day, you may benefit from some kind of productivity tracking tool. While you could keep track of these tasks manually, that could be a drag with so many things going on.
Think about it: if you’re working on a project for eight hours a day, only to be interrupted by three phone calls and six text messages while you’re at your desk, it makes sense to try and block certain times for work-related activities.
I’ve been using Overture for a couple months now, and I can say that it really works well for managing these types of tasks.

Hi flossy, it’s great to hear about the app. I’ve tried a few time tracking apps in the past and this one seems like the most suitable for my needs.
If you want to track how much time you spend on your work and when, I think you should try Overture.

Hi flossy, I think time tracking applications are great and a lot of
