Alternative to Google App Engine for Java (need authentication)

I have a quite big application that need authentication on the backend (security, authentication and authorization etc.). I’m thinking to move my application to Google App Engine. It is very good but I can’t find any alternative, and I can’t migrate my entire application to GAE.
I found that others have the same problem, and are not able to find any alternatives. I’d really like to hear more about what you found, as my experience with GAE is quite good.

It’s fairly common to run Google App Engine as part of a larger application. For example, I work on an application for a large company and they run Google App Engine for the backend, the front end is all static serving HTML, CSS, Javascript, etc. from various static hosters.

In this study, potential of anhydrite as a sorbent material for removing copper from tap water was studied. The study includes the investigation of three different anhydrite powders: solid solution (natural), CaSO4 anhydrite (raw) and CaSO4 anhydrite (heat treated). The test was conducted in laboratory conditions, as different parameters were changed and a comparison was made in terms of copper removal efficiency and various physical-chemical analyses. The results obtained from the study have shown that CaSO4 anhydrite (heat-treated) is the most effective for the removal of copper from water. Copper concentrations in the solution decreased from 0.06 to below the detectable limit of the apparatus within 12 min with the sorbent dose of 1.0 g. L(-1). The sample analyses suggest that there is no any change in the properties of the sorbent after 12 min contact time. The sorbent was assessed through a number of tests, including washing and extraction abilities.Prognostic effect of ejection fraction in patients with T2-hypointense myocardial infarction on contrast-enhanced myocardial perfusion imaging.
Hybrid myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) using a short-lived tracer (99mTc tetrofosmin) and a delayed SPECT imaging significantly improve the accuracy of the diagnosis of myocardial infarction (MI) and coronary heart disease. The aim of this study was to investigate the prognostic value of ejection fraction (EF) in patients with T2-hypointense MI. We enrolled 112 patients with T2-hypointense MI who underwent hybrid MPI and who were followed for an average of 23+/-12 months. The presence of Q wave MI and the location of the MI were assessed using ECG. EF was determined using both visual (end-systolic volume) and quantitative (wall motion abnormality) assessment. After the hybrid MPI, all patients were restudied with a second hybrid MPI and coronary angiography was performed in 75 patients.
