AutoCAD started out as a development tool for AutoDesk’s own drafting package; it was originally called AutoDraw. It developed rapidly after its initial release in 1980, but was not released for the Macintosh until 1989. In 1994, when the company was purchased by Autodesk, the company rebranded it as AutoCAD.

AutoCAD 2002 was a major upgrade that introduced many new features, including 3D modeling. It was later supplemented by AutoCAD 3D, which introduced 3D modeling for the first time. The first major revision of AutoCAD, AutoCAD 2007, added a high-resolution raster and bitmap image engine, better handling of image editing operations, 3D graphics, and support for animation. AutoCAD 2010 introduced the feature of applying a mirror to a drawing.

AutoCAD 2011 introduced Revit Architecture, a 3D drawing and modeling tool that was based on the open-source AutoCAD LT software. Revit Architecture was released with AutoCAD 2011, and is not backwards compatible with previous versions of AutoCAD.

In 2012, Autodesk rebranded the top-level product to AutoCAD LT. AutoCAD LT allows users to work with 2D drawings without 3D capabilities.

In 2014, Autodesk rebranded the product as AutoCAD. With the 2015 release of AutoCAD LT, Autodesk redesigned it to make it consistent with AutoCAD, which added functionality including 3D modeling.

In January 2017, Autodesk announced a new version of AutoCAD named AutoCAD 2018. In February 2017, Autodesk acquired Eclipse, a developer of 3D computer graphics software. This raised some questions about Autodesk’s future plans with AutoCAD.

The Toyota Center is a multi-purpose arena in the central business district of Houston, Texas. Construction and naming rights

In 1989, the Houston Rockets moved into a new, state-of-the-art arena that would bear their name and use for their home games. The home arena would feature a retractable floor in the event that the arena was needed for other purposes.

The Toyota Center opened on November 18, 1989, hosting the first game played in the new arena and the Houston Rockets’ 25th season in the NBA. With the Rockets’ first exhibition game on November 20, 1989, Rockets coach Rudy Tomjanovich introduced the team with a running gag in which he made dramatic entrances from an elevator with a confetti cannon in the middle of the arena, entrance number one, and a golf cart with a basketball in it, entrance number two. The Houston Rockets sold naming rights to the Toyota Center beginning in 2007. The facility was originally named Houston Toyota Center. In 2004, Toyota ended its sponsorship of the arena, and the arena was temporarily named Toyota Dome until it was renamed.
