You can define the properties that you will use in a design and make them available to other users as templates by enabling the Template Creation tool. This tool creates property definitions on your computer and makes them available to other users as templates, so that you can use them in multiple drawings at once.

The parameters stored in a template are the properties that are applied to entities. When you create a template, they are stored as parametric properties, and other users can apply them to their drawings without having to duplicate your work and research.

In order to make Markup Assist work best for you, it is important that you learn how to create and edit templates. You can access the template editor from the Templates drop-down list in the Markup Assist tool:

Under the Templates drop-down menu, choose a template or create a new one.

In the New Templates dialog box, choose the template type you want to create.

Click OK.

The template you have just created is displayed in the Template list.

Creating properties

In the Markup Assist tool, add a property to a template by clicking the Properties button or the menu at the top of the tool and choosing Properties > Add Property.
